Mechanical Engineer, Fluid Systems (Design & Build)

SpaceX is seeking Mechanical Engineers focused on fluid systems to support the testing and development of rocket engines and vehicles in McGregor, TX. This role involves hands-on design, building, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems within a fast-paced engineering environment.

What you'll do

• Design and build systems for rocket vehicle testing
• Manage engineering projects from design to execution
• Collaborate with technicians to implement designs and solve problems
• Adjust plans rapidly to meet testing deadlines
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment to meet testing objectives

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related engineering field
• 1+ years of practical design or build experience
• Strong understanding of fluid, structural, or mechanical systems
• Problem-solving skills in dynamic environments
• Hands-on skills in machining, welding, and fabrication
• Attention to detail and system interactions
• Experience with CAD software, preferably Siemens NX
• Excellent communication skills
