About this role
SpaceX seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead infrastructure design and construction for its rocket production facility at Starbase. You'll manage MEP systems, oversee construction projects from design through delivery, and solve complex engineering challenges in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
- Lead MEP design and coordination for residential, commercial, and industrial facilities
- Manage construction activities and ensure compliance with codes and project requirements
- Prepare and review design drawings for mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems
- Write and manage construction contracts with subcontractors through closeout
- Handle project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and resolve field conflicts
- Coordinate permits, governmental approvals, and post-construction operations
