SpaceX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its Starship Propellant Generation team in Cape Canaveral, FL. The role involves designing and supporting mechanical systems for the production of liquid oxygen and methane, contributing to the launch capabilities of the Starship program.
What you'll do
- Lead mechanical design for air separation and liquefaction systems
- Design and analyze mechanical systems for launch and production tooling
- Oversee project ownership from design to activation of hardware
- Collaborate with launch operations to ensure product requirements are met
- Make development decisions based on cost and schedule
- Present cost and schedule proposals to leadership
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 1+ years experience with design software (NX, CATIA, etc.)
- Experience in designing mechanical structures
- Project management skills in aerospace or power generation
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Hands-on work passion
- Proficient in engineering drawings interpretation
