Mechanical Engineer - Satellite Payload (Starlink)

SpaceX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the Starlink satellite payload team. The role involves tackling complex mechanical challenges and managing the complete lifecycle of satellite hardware development, from ideation to production.

What you'll do

• Manage hardware from design to production and operation
• Create design criteria and drive system optimization
• Iterate designs based on analysis and inform product direction
• Ensure designs are efficient and error-proof
• Collaborate on supply chain efficiency for final integration
• Conduct environmental testing to validate hardware performance

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Experience with CAD and FEA software
• 1+ years in mechanical design or analysis
• Proficient in 3D CAD (NX preferred)
• Understanding of GD&T
• Knowledge of structural analysis
• Strong organizational and communication skills
