Operations Engineer (Starship)

SpaceX is looking for an Operations Engineer to support the Starship program by optimizing production processes and resource allocation in Hawthorne, CA. The role involves leading cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency and using data-driven methods to resolve operational challenges.

What you'll do

• Design factory layouts to ensure efficient production flow
• Conduct vendor negotiations and manage schedules
• Streamline production processes through process evaluations
• Develop and manage production strategies to minimize risks
• Create analytical tools for assessing production issues
• Track performance metrics to enhance production efficiency

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 1+ years in manufacturing
• Process engineering experience
• Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or Python/R
• Strong data analysis and statistics skills
• Experience with lean and six sigma methodologies
• Team collaboration skills
