Platform Engineer, Flight Software (Starlink)

SpaceX is seeking a Platform Engineer for its Starlink flight software team to enhance software deployment for both ground and satellite systems. The role involves improving development efficiencies, maintaining flight software features, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges.

What you'll do

• Maintain flight code generation tools for engineers
• Support core flight software features across satellite products
• Identify and resolve slow/error-prone areas of embedded software development
• Develop tools for fast and reliable operational systems
• Collaborate with ground software teams to optimize flight systems

• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
• Experience with Bazel and Bash
• Ability to improve performance bottlenecks
