About this role

SpaceX seeks a Propulsion Engineer to design, develop, and oversee stage propulsion systems for Starship, including propellant feed, pressurization, and control systems. The role spans from initial design through flight operations, requiring ownership of system performance across all vehicle stages and missions.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain requirements, design, operation, and performance of stage propulsion systems
  • Create and validate thermal/fluid models for propellant and pressurization systems
  • Design stage control sequencing, valve timing, and mission operations from conception to flight software
  • Support production, testing, and launch operations across SpaceX facilities
  • Generate test plans, conduct testing, review data, and sign off on system acceptance
  • Support launch operations and resolve flight anomalies with corrective actions
