SpaceX is seeking a Propulsion Engineer to join their Thermal & Fluid Analysis team for the Starship program. The role focuses on optimizing fluid consumables and system performance to enhance the reliability of a fully reusable spacecraft designed for deep space missions.

What you'll do

  • Conduct pre-mission analysis on various systems to optimize performance
  • Automate analysis workflows to minimize engineering time per mission
  • Implement improvements for performance and robustness
  • Simplify operations and alleviate workload on other teams
  • Document work to enhance efficiency and reduce errors
  • Review and provide feedback on peer work

What they're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 1+ years with engineering simulation tools like MATLAB
  • Master's degree (preferred)
  • 2+ years in thermal or fluid analysis (preferred)
  • Knowledge of propulsion and fluid systems
  • Experience with thermal/fluid networks
  • Familiarity with Python scripting
  • Strong communication skills
