RAN Validation Engineer (Starlink Mobile)

About this role

As a RAN Validation Engineer for the Starlink Mobile program at SpaceX, you will focus on validating and optimizing the 4G/5G RAN software protocol stack. Your role involves developing automated testing, performing diagnostics, and collaborating with development teams to enhance network performance and resolve issues.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain automated test cases for eNB/gNB feature validation
• Analyze UE and eNB/gNB logs to troubleshoot RAN issues
• Lead UE log collection and field testing for feature development
• Create software tools and perform database queries for RAN performance analysis
• Manage network issues and collaborate with developers for resolutions
• Maintain RAN lab infrastructure in coordination with partner teams

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM
• Understanding of LTE and 5G-NR protocols
• Experience debugging at PHY, MAC, and RRC layers
• RAN parameter configuration expertise
