RF Software Engineer (Starshield)

SpaceX is seeking an RF Software Engineer for the Starshield program, which utilizes Starlink technology to advance national security objectives. The role involves working with a team to develop and validate RF systems for communications and remote sensing in low earth orbit.

What you'll do

• Make program-level decisions on RF system designs
• Research solutions for large-scale satellite RF systems
• Design and automate RF test benches for custom RF designs
• Build modular RF test infrastructure and automation in Python and C++
• Collaborate with various engineering teams to validate RF systems
• Create electromagnetic simulation models of hardware

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's in electrical engineering or related discipline
• 1+ years in C/C++ or Python development
• Experience with RF test equipment
• Professional RF experience with antennas
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with environmental test methodologies
• Experience with software design principles
• Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one
