Security Engineer

About this role

SpaceX is seeking a Security Engineer to enhance information security measures and protect its vital systems and networks. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions while collaborating with various teams to mitigate risks and bolster overall IT security.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain security technology solutions for systems and data.
• Manage identity services and lifecycle automation.
• Implement network security systems and backend infrastructure.
• Oversee application security controls and cloud security enforcement.
• Collaborate with teams to identify threats and enhance security measures.
• Document and advise on security technologies as a subject matter expert.

What they're looking for

• Proficient in Python, GO, C#, C/C++, or Rust.
• Experience with operating system security solutions.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with PKI, SAML, OIDC, and OAuth.
• Understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to debug issues.
• Experience with web-based APIs and enterprise security practices.
• Knowledge of both Linux and Windows internals.
