Security Engineer

About this role

SpaceX is seeking a Security Engineer to join their Information Security team, responsible for ensuring the security of systems and networks critical to their mission. The role includes designing and maintaining security solutions, collaborating with various teams, and strengthening defenses against threats.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain security systems for networks and data
• Implement authentication and identity services
• Manage automation for identity lifecycle services
• Enhance network security and application security controls
• Strengthen security measures based on threat analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security initiatives

What they're looking for

• Programming in Python, GO, C#, C/C++, or Rust
• Experience with secure code development
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows internals
• Understanding of public key infrastructure (PKI)
• Familiarity with SAML, OIDC, and OAuth
• Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Understanding of network protocols
• Experience with special purpose security hardware

Benefits

• Base salary between $130,000 - $180,000 based on experience
