Security Engineer (Blue Team)

SpaceX seeks a Security Engineer to enhance their Blue Team's capabilities in detecting and responding to threats against their advanced technologies. The role involves developing tooling and automation to ensure optimal threat detection and system resilience in a high-stakes environment dedicated to space exploration.

What you'll do

• Enhance security detection mechanisms and automation frameworks.
• Engage with system owners to identify and prioritize detection gaps.
• Investigate suspicious behavior identified during detection engineering.
• Participate in adversary emulation to discover detection vulnerabilities.

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Go)
• Incident Response experience
• Knowledge of ETL pipeline building
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and infrastructure automation
• Understanding of SIEM systems and security operations
• Insight into Red Team tactics and attack trends
• Knowledge of enterprise security controls for various OS
