Site Reliability Engineer, Kubernetes Platform (Starshield)

SpaceX is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for its Starshield project, focusing on the software and network infrastructure of the world’s largest government satellite constellation. The role involves designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters while ensuring system availability and collaborating with various engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Automate deployment and management of on-premise Kubernetes clusters
• Manage core infrastructure including databases and monitoring systems
• Work closely with software engineers to build scalable and maintainable products
• Engage in the entire service lifecycle from design to operation
• Monitor systems for high availability
• Troubleshoot and integrate across the Starshield stack

• Linux operating systems
• Terraform and Ansible
• Containerization technologies like Kubernetes
• Scripting in Bash and Python
• Development in Python, C++, or Go
