About this role
SpaceX is hiring a Software Engineer to design and build a scalable Content Delivery Network (CDN) for Starlink, the world's largest satellite internet constellation. You'll architect distributed systems, optimize hardware utilization, manage traffic routing, and develop prototypes to expand Starlink's capabilities globally.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and scale a new Content Delivery Network for Starlink
- Build robust, responsive, and scalable distributed systems with real-time reliability
- Create tools, visibility, and alerting mechanisms for diagnosing and operating complex systems
- Design algorithms to optimize hardware utilization and cost efficiency
- Implement systems to shape traffic across multiple CDN nodes
- Lead architecture reviews and develop prototypes for future Starlink use cases
