About this role
SpaceX seeks a Software Engineer to design and develop hardware-in-the-loop testing solutions for flight systems, working on a high-performance, scalable platform that supports mission-critical aerospace software. You'll own new features across the full stack, collaborating with engineering teams to build systems that accelerate vehicle development and demonstration. A Top Secret security clearance is required.
What you'll do
- Design and implement automated testing frameworks for HITL and HOOTL software systems
- Develop full-stack solutions for managing automated testing of vehicle subsystems using simulation and flight software
- Contribute to test automation infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline improvements
- Collaborate across engineering groups to ensure deliverables meet design criteria and technical constraints
- Debug and optimize performance across high-assurance systems
- Support proposal timelines and critical project milestones with extended availability
