Thermal Control and Life Support Hardware Engineer (Crew Starship)

SpaceX is looking for a Thermal Control and Life Support Hardware Engineer to innovate and develop critical systems for its Crew Starship missions, including manned missions to Mars and the Moon. This role demands a strong grasp of engineering principles and collaboration across teams to ensure reliable life support and thermal management systems for future astronauts.

What you'll do

• Design and build life support and thermal control systems for Crew Starship
• Iterate on manufacturing processes and conduct development testing
• Manage project timelines from design through production
• Conduct design reviews with internal teams and external partners
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for system integration
• Ensure manufacturability and reliability of designs

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science
• Experience with fluid and environmental control systems
• Ability to perform trade studies and engineering analysis
• Proficiency in NX design software
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
• Experience with structural analysis tools
• Understanding of manufacturing techniques and materials
• Strong communication and organizational skills
