Security Engineer

About this role

KKR is looking for a skilled Security Engineer to join their information security team in either Boston or New York. The position focuses on managing security solutions across networks, email systems, endpoints, and cloud infrastructures while promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

What you'll do

• Design and manage network security solutions including firewalls and VPNs
• Analyze network traffic for security threats and vulnerabilities
• Configure secure email gateways to combat threats
• Deploy and manage endpoint security solutions
• Develop vulnerability management programs and collaborate with IT
• Implement security controls across cloud platforms

What they're looking for

• 6+ years of security experience
• Expertise in network, email, endpoint, data, identity, and cloud security
• Familiarity with AWS and Azure
• Understanding of LAN/WAN and IP-based networks
• Knowledge of applied cryptography and attack vectors
• Skill in security principles and automation coding
