What you'll do

• Lead design and analysis of rotary actuators and related components
• Select and integrate motors, gearheads, and sensors
• Conduct performance analysis and verify through calculations and FEA
• Specify materials and lubrication for extreme conditions
• Oversee mechanism qualification and acceptance testing
• Collaborate with electrical and manufacturing teams

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• 1+ years in mechanical design or actuator experience
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and engineering drawings
• Experience with rotary mechanisms for flight applications
• Understanding of motor electronics and control systems
• Familiarity with aerospace mechanism standards
• Knowledge of tribology in space environments
• Ability to simplify mechanisms and reduce complexity
