About this role

The Stellar Development Foundation is seeking a Backend Engineer to contribute to an innovative blockchain-based project. This role involves developing and managing the critical interface between core infrastructure and external applications, aiming to create robust API services in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment.

What you'll do

• Design and build public API JSON-RPC endpoints
• Manage the transaction lifecycle from client to consensus
• Develop the data backend for block explorer and integrations
• Create analytics pipelines and implement observability tools
• Collaborate across service boundaries to enhance system interactions

• Experience with Rust and C++
• Designing robust API services
• Understanding of database architecture
• Experience with high-scale traffic handling
• Ownership of production infrastructure
