Backend Engineer, Integrations & APIs

About this role

The Stellar Development Foundation is seeking a Backend Engineer to develop crucial API and data systems for a new blockchain prototype. This role involves building infrastructure that enables interactions with the network and is suited for individuals experienced in launching complex systems.

What you'll do

• Design and implement JSON-RPC endpoints for external communication
• Manage the transaction lifecycle from client to consensus
• Develop data backends for block explorers and partner integrations
• Construct analytics pipelines and implement robust monitoring systems
• Collaborate across different service components to enhance system functionality

What they're looking for

• Strong backend programming in Rust and/or C++
• Expertise in developing high-scale RPC/API services
• In-depth knowledge of database architecture and indexing
• Experience with building production-grade infrastructure
• Familiarity with data analytics and observability tools
