Software Engineer

About this role

Stripe seeks a Software Engineer to design and build scalable APIs, services, and distributed systems using Ruby, Java, and Scala. You'll work across teams to develop financial infrastructure software, debug production issues, and improve engineering standards at a company processing payments for millions of businesses globally.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems using Ruby, Java, and Scala
• Build, develop, test, and deploy software infrastructure
• Debug production issues across services and multiple stack levels
• Develop software system testing, validation procedures, and documentation
• Collaborate with engineers to build large-scale features
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
