Database Support Engineer (AMER)

Supabase is seeking a Database Support Engineer to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues while enhancing the developer experience and product quality. This fully remote role is perfect for someone with extensive PostgreSQL knowledge and a passion for providing exceptional technical support.

What you'll do

• Investigate and resolve advanced customer issues
• Provide proactive advice for workload optimization
• Reproduce and escalate bugs with detailed steps
• Ask targeted questions to clarify customer concerns
• Communicate clearly with users during critical situations
• Mentor junior team members for quality improvement

What they're looking for

• 7+ years in technical support or backend engineering
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals
• Strong skills in SQL and query optimization
• Ability to troubleshoot complex setups
• Understanding of distributed system behaviors
• Experience with data migration and recovery
• Familiarity with cloud hosting providers like AWS
• Comfortable in terminal and Linux environments
