Edge Functions Engineer

Supabase is seeking an experienced Edge Functions Engineer to enhance their global server-side TypeScript functions, which are critical for various applications. The role involves evolving the Supabase Edge Runtime and optimizing performance while ensuring seamless integration with Supabase's backend services.

What you'll do

• Develop and improve the Supabase Edge Runtime
• Implement monitoring and alerting for system optimizations
• Collaborate with Deno and open-source teams
• Participate in on-call rotations for production support
• Manage and refine features like scheduled functions and WebSockets
• Enhance the developer experience for local function development

What they're looking for

• At least 5 years in backend or systems engineering
• Strong proficiency in Rust and TypeScript
• Experience with V8 Isolates and Deno
• Understanding of large-scale infrastructure management
• Vision for edge computing solutions
• Bonus: experience with developer-facing CLIs
