Software Engineer - Auth

About this role

Supabase is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in authentication to design and implement secure features in Go and TypeScript. The role involves maintaining existing features, ensuring system reliability, and collaborating with other engineers to enhance user experience across their platforms.

What you'll do

• Design and implement authentication features in Go and TypeScript
• Manage performance and scalability of the Auth server
• Contribute to the Auth architecture, including various protocols
• Plan and execute safe database migrations
• Build observability tools for system health
• Respond to community feedback and support developers

What they're looking for

• 4+ years Go programming experience
• 2+ years working on authentication systems
• Strong Postgres relational database skills
• Proficient in TypeScript
• Knowledge of web technologies (cookies, JWT, HTTP)
• Understanding of authentication security protocols
• Experience with web frameworks like Next.js
• Technical writing skills
