Autonomy Software Engineer

About this role

The Autonomy Software Engineer will join STR's SAAM group to develop and integrate advanced algorithms for autonomy and mission systems within national security projects. This role focuses on collaborating with teams to create robust solutions, ensuring high-performance execution while engaging with customers to refine product development.

What you'll do

• Integrate and develop code for mature hardware systems
• Collaborate with SMEs to utilize advanced algorithms
• Lead teams to implement and test real-time applications
• Support customer discussions to refine product requirements
• Leverage testing capabilities across M&S and live test

• Proficiency in modern C++
• Experience with multi-threaded applications
• Knowledge of test-driven development and CI/CD
• Familiarity with cross-platform development
• Experience in hardware/software integration
• Ability to obtain a secret security clearance
