Software Engineer, Portfolio Engineering

About this role

Talos seeks a Backend Software Engineer to build core systems for institutional portfolio construction, optimization, and strategy execution in digital assets. You'll develop high-performance services in Java within a distributed, cloud-native environment supporting the full trading lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Design and implement backtester, portfolio optimizer, rebalancer, and reporting engine components
• Own features end-to-end from requirements through testing and documentation
• Develop high-performance backend services primarily in Java with Python components
• Build distributed systems on AWS and GCP meeting production reliability standards
• Collaborate with Product, Quant, and Client teams on institutional solutions
