About this role
Tenstorrent is looking for a Physical Design Engineer to work on high-performance CPU and AI/ML architectures. The role entails managing the entire implementation process from synthesis to tapeout, requiring a strong background in SOC/ASIC physical design and a passion for optimizing performance, power, and area.
What you'll do
- Implement high-performance blocks for CPU and AI architectures
- Manage implementation flow from synthesis to tapeout
- Collaborate with engineers to enhance performance and efficiency
- Debug complex design issues across hierarchies
- Drive physical design requirements from architecture to signoff
- Optimize power, performance, and area through innovative methods
What they're looking for
- Expertise in SOC/ASIC physical design
- Experience with tools like FusionCompiler and PrimeTime
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, and Python
- In-depth knowledge of low-power design techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
- Familiarity with timing closure and PnR
- Understanding of advanced node challenges
