Terran Orbital seeks a Structural Analysis Engineer (Level I or II) to design and validate satellite structures through finite element modeling, mechanical testing, and analytical work. This role involves supporting spacecraft development from concept through launch, with opportunities to lead test projects and collaborate across engineering disciplines in the aerospace sector.

What you'll do

  • Build and analyze finite element models of satellite structures using static, dynamic, thermal, and nonlinear methods
  • Manage mechanical test projects end-to-end, including vendor coordination, fixture design, and test documentation
  • Develop test plans, procedures, and reports for vibration, shock, and endurance testing
  • Identify structural design risks and recommend mitigation strategies across concept through production phases
  • Interface with external test facilities and vendors to coordinate testing logistics
  • Participate in vehicle arrangement discussions and design reviews for ongoing projects
