iOS Engineer
About this role
The New York Times seeks an iOS Engineer to develop innovative features across multiple mobile apps including News, Games, and Cooking. You'll work hybrid in NYC on progressive iOS applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class subscriber experiences.
What you'll do
- Build and ship iOS features using Swift and SwiftUI, enhancing existing code and creating new functionality
- Write clean, maintainable code with unit tests and participate in code reviews
- Mentor other iOS engineers and contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmaps
- Integrate with internal NY Times services and external third-party APIs
- Collaborate with QA, product, design, and native Android engineers to deliver robust features
- Stay current on iOS technologies, best practices, and AI tooling for mobile development
