The Trade Desk is seeking a Software Engineer II to design and maintain backend services and data processing workflows, supporting their global digital advertising platform. This role involves working with technologies like Java, Apache Spark, and cloud services to enhance system performance and reliability.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Scala, or Python
• Design data processing workflows with Apache Spark
• Implement cloud-native services on Kubernetes
• Design and validate API contracts and service interfaces
• Create CI/CD pipelines with automated build processes
• Investigate and resolve software defects or performance issues

What they're looking for

• Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• API design and validation skills
• Knowledge of CI/CD workflows and Gitlab CI
• Familiarity with observability practices
• Debugging proficiency using logs and system metrics
