Agent Engineer - US Remote

TRM Labs is seeking an Agent Engineer to enhance AI applications, particularly focusing on Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic systems. The role involves building robust frameworks and intelligent agents to support investigative tasks and improve user decision-making in high-sensitivity environments.

What you'll do

• Design and implement an agentic framework for tool use and memory retrieval
• Create modular agents that automate investigative processes
• Scale LLM infrastructure including prompt engineering and evaluation
• Ensure safe and observable behavior of AI agents
• Assess AI performance based on user feedback and metrics
• Promote a culture of rapid experimentation and ethical AI

What they're looking for

• Strong engineering background, preferably in Python
• Experience with LLMs and agent tooling frameworks
• Understanding of agentic pipelines and AI information flow
• Thoughtful system design skills focused on safety and scalability
• Product empathy towards user impact
• Bias for experimentation and quick iteration
• Knowledge of knowledge graphs or AI safety is a plus
