Equipment Engineer

The Equipment Engineer will oversee the performance and reliability of instruments in a DNA synthesis environment, focusing on maintenance, validation, and troubleshooting. The role demands a proactive individual who excels in a high-stakes setting and is committed to stringent quality standards.

What you'll do

• Lead equipment validation processes including IQ, OQ, and PQ.
• Manage routine maintenance and calibrations according to specifications.
• Investigate and resolve equipment failures to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with equipment-related CAPAs and Change Controls.
• Handle purchasing of instruments and spare parts.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers on equipment-process interactions.

What they're looking for

• BS in Engineering or Physical Sciences.
• 1-3 years of equipment maintenance experience.
• Ability to optimize reliability through mechanical and electrical design.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 or GMP standards.
• Proficiency in computer software (Excel, Word, Atlassian).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Documentation management experience.
