About this role
Ursa Major is seeking a Propellant Development Engineer II to contribute to the development and testing of solid rocket motor propellants. This role involves hands-on support of energetic materials formulation, testing, and scale-up, along with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. You’ll work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to support critical national security demands in the aerospace and defense industries.
What you'll do
- Support energetics development programs and ensure project milestones are met.
- Assist in propellant formulation, mixing, casting, and testing.
- Process and analyze material data to verify performance requirements.
- Support transitioning formulations to production scale operations.
- Participate in optimizing laboratory equipment and processing techniques.
- Draft technical documentation, including test procedures and batch records.
