Ursa Major Technologies is seeking a skilled Propulsion Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and validation of fluid and mechanical engine components. This role involves full ownership of projects from initial concept to production-ready designs, working collaboratively with other engineers on multiple engine programs while adapting to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical design background and a passion for solving complex engineering challenges.
What you'll do
- Design fluid and mechanical engine components like gimbals, actuators, and valves.
- Modify existing components and prototypes for improved performance.
- Collaborate with engineers on system sizing, component testing, and architecture.
- Develop work instructions and acceptance tests for component assembly.
- Assemble and test prototype components.
- Ensure successful integration of component designs into engine systems.
