About this role
The Platform Database Engineer will design and optimize MongoDB environments within a large-scale cloud ecosystem, focusing on performance and reliability. This role requires a blend of database engineering and SRE principles, working closely with development and operations teams.
What you'll do
- Architect and maintain MongoDB Atlas and non-Atlas environments.
- Develop disaster recovery and resiliency strategies.
- Optimize database performance for application development.
- Create infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform and GitOps.
- Implement monitoring solutions and manage access control.
- Lead incident response and mentor technical teams.
What they're looking for
- 4+ years as a MongoDB DBA with Atlas experience
- Advanced AWS ecosystem familiarity
- Proficient in Terraform and GitOps
- Experience with observability platforms like Dynatrace
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- On-call incident response participation
