Forward Deployed Engineer - Oahu (TS/SCI Clearance Required)

About this role

Vannevar is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to manage the architecture and implementation of software solutions for national security initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with technical stakeholders, translating mission needs into effective software while ensuring compliance with government standards.

What you'll do

• Architect and develop software solutions for customer environments
• Engage with clients to understand technical needs and deliver solutions
• Oversee the full delivery cycle from design to deployment and support
• Enhance product capabilities through hands-on coding
• Integrate and navigate government IT systems and ensure compliance
• Travel to interact with mission owners and enable field operations

What they're looking for

• 5+ years as a Full Stack Developer
• Familiarity with relational databases like Postgres
• Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework
• Ability to interface with government IT systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Active U.S. TS Security clearance with SCI eligibility
• Experience with user testing and requirements scoping
• Knowledge of modern front-end frameworks like React
