Founding Forward Deployed Engineer

About this role

Vantage is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to collaborate with key customers in optimizing their cloud cost management strategies. This role requires hands-on technical support and problem-solving during customer onboarding and implementation.

What you'll do

• Act as a technical advisor to customers on cloud environments and cost management goals
• Design and implement cost allocation and tagging strategies across multi-cloud and Kubernetes
• Support technical onboarding for complex customer accounts
• Debug data ingestion and reporting issues with Support and Engineering teams
• Build solutions using Vantage's APIs and integrations
• Identify customer pain points to inform product development

What they're looking for

• 5+ years in a technical customer-facing role
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with cost data and large datasets
• Proficient in SQL and/or Python
• Excellent communication skills for technical concepts
• High ownership and adaptability
• A friendly and kind demeanor
