Data Engineer

About this role

Varda is looking for a Data Engineer to support the creation and management of data pipelines and architecture essential for operational efficiency in their space infrastructure projects. The role involves collaborating across functions to identify improvements and assisting in the implementation of solutions that enhance data quality and compliance.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain ELT pipelines from enterprise systems.
• Evaluate enterprise data platforms and document findings.
• Establish data quality frameworks and observability.
• Design feature pipelines for AI/ML workflows.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Implement modern development practices and tools.

What they're looking for

• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks)
• Proficiency in SQL and programming languages (e.g., Python)
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
• Familiarity with data transformation tools (e.g., dbt)
• Understanding of data modeling concepts
• Exposure to enterprise systems like ERP and CRM
• Source control experience with Git
• Basic CI/CD knowledge
