Varda is seeking a Structures Manufacturing Engineer to lead the manufacturing processes for structural assemblies in their reentry capsules and spacecraft. The role involves collaborating with design engineers, refining manufacturing operations, and addressing quality control issues to enhance production efficiency.
What you'll do
- Oversee manufacturing processes for composite and metallic structures
- Develop work instructions and process specifications
- Provide design feedback on composite parts
- Implement cleanliness and contamination control procedures
- Lead investigations of structural defects and issues
- Define and procure necessary tooling for production
What they're looking for
- B.S. in Mechanical or Materials Engineering
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of structural static loads analysis
- Hands-on assembly experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Experience in writing manufacturing documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to handle hardware
