About this role
Varda is seeking a Thermofluids Engineer to develop fluid systems for thermal management in spacecraft. The role involves analyzing and testing thermomechanical and fluid systems, ensuring their effectiveness for vehicle and payload applications.
What you'll do
- Develop active thermal control systems for vehicles
- Create fluid network models to integrate with vehicle thermal models
- Define requirements for fluid systems based on analysis and tests
- Guide the manufacturing and integration of thermal hardware
- Collaborate with other disciplines to design thermal/fluid systems
- Characterize thermofluid performance using analysis and flight data
What they're looking for
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Understanding of heat transfer and fluid mechanics
- Experience with thermal/fluid modeling tools
- Knowledge of thermomechanical hardware
- Hands-on experience with thermal testing
- Proficiency in MATLAB for data processing
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
