Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

About this role

Vast is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to support the development of systems for the E-2 LOX/Kerosene oxidizer-rich staged combustion engine. The role includes maintaining test stand instrumentation, generating electrical schematics, and troubleshooting related systems at their Mojave facility.

What you'll do

• Maintain test stand instrumentation and control systems
• Generate and maintain electrical schematics
• Manage instrumentation calibration records
• Coordinate recalibration of instrumentation
• Work with technicians on electrical systems
• Implement improvements for safety and productivity

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 2+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls
• Experience with PLCs
• Familiarity with National Instruments and LabVIEW
• Knowledge of coding languages (Python, Matlab)
• Ability to interpret technical documentation
• Attention to detail
• Communication skills
