Mechanical Engineer II

Vast is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to aid in the design and production of their innovative engine system for small launchers. The engineer will play a critical role in transitioning the engine design from development to production, ensuring high performance at low cost.

What you'll do

• Advance engine design and create models and drawings
• Collaborate with manufacturing to produce engine parts
• Support assembly and testing of propulsion components
• Document processes and create schematics
• Participate in engine testing and provide troubleshooting support
• Maintain effective communication with the team

What they're looking for

• Mechanical engineering degree
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in CAD (NX preferred)
• Understanding of GD&T
• Problem-solving abilities
• Hands-on engineering skills
• Effective written and visual communication
• Knowledge of ANSYS and MATLAB
