Vast is looking for a Systems Engineer specializing in spacecraft design and simulation to lead the development of their spacecraft simulation toolchain. This role focuses on creating a dynamic engineering environment that supports rapid design evolution and decision-making as the company prepares to scale up its satellite launches.

What you'll do

• Develop and improve the spacecraft design and simulation toolchain
• Facilitate cross-discipline design studies for rapid assessments
• Drive architectural decisions through detailed analysis
• Ensure the toolchain evolves with changing customer requirements
• Maintain the digital twin as a comprehensive engineering record
• Implement a rigorous validation suite for all models

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
• 4+ years in spacecraft systems engineering
• Strong knowledge of power, thermal, and ADCS subsystems
• Exceptional analytical abilities
• Focus on rigorous validation processes
• Experience with AI-assisted development
• Generalist experience in multiple subsystems
• Skills in cross-functional collaboration
