Engineer IV - Critical Facilities (Data Center Operations)

Verisign is looking for an experienced Engineer IV to join their Global Data Center Operations Team in Ashburn, Virginia. The role involves leading technical operations and maintenance for critical systems, ensuring optimal functionality of electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety infrastructure within data centers.

What you'll do

• Act as a technical lead for data center operations
• Oversee maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and fire safety systems
• Implement preventative maintenance best practices
• Identify and address Single Points of Failure and End of Life equipment
• Drive multi-year capacity/growth projects and prepare business cases
• Communicate findings and updates to Senior Leadership

What they're looking for

• Strong technical knowledge of data center systems
• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree
• Proficient in technical writing and documentation
• Understanding of data center tier ratings and resilience
• Ability to interpret technical drawings
• Experience with Electrical Power Management Systems
• Familiarity with industry certifications
