About this role

Verkada seeks an Embedded Software Engineering Intern to design and develop embedded software and firmware for security devices deployed globally. You'll work with C, C++, and Go on Linux-based systems, collaborating with hardware and product teams to ship features via OTA updates.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy embedded software and firmware for Verkada devices
  • Collaborate with hardware teams to build embedded software using C, C++, and Go
  • Develop and verify firmware, drivers, and embedded systems for security platforms
  • Contribute to codebase and push new features via OTA on a frequent basis
  • Work cross-functionally with product management to build and ship customer-facing features
  • Experiment with new development boards and collaborate on product specifications
