Software Engineer, Platform Infrastructure

About this role

Verkada is seeking a Software Engineer to enhance their cloud infrastructure capabilities. In this role, you'll design, develop, and maintain scalable systems while collaborating across teams to meet infrastructure needs.

What you'll do

• Design and automate cloud infrastructure software
• Collaborate with engineering teams for infrastructure solutions
• Enhance architecture of cloud services
• Implement monitoring and logging for performance
• Take ownership of specific infrastructure domains

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science or related field
• 1+ years in cloud infrastructure or backend systems
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in Python and/or Go
• Familiarity with major cloud platforms, preferably AWS
• Strong communication abilities
• Knowledge of Terraform and Kubernetes preferred
• Experience with observability tools like Datadog preferred
