Application Security Engineer

Virtru is seeking an Application Security Engineer to enhance the security of its innovative data protection platform. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams to implement security best practices, manage vulnerabilities, and conduct security assessments in a dynamic remote environment.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with development and site reliability teams to adopt security best practices
• Identify and implement security improvements independently
• Manage and automate vulnerability management processes
• Conduct threat modeling and code audits with engineers
• Establish threat hunting capabilities and enhance logging
• Integrate and manage security tools within the development pipeline

What they're looking for

• 4+ years of experience in secure development
• Understanding of authentication and web architecture
• Proficient in Node.js and Go
• Experience with bug-bounty and vulnerability programs
• Strong knowledge of cryptography fundamentals
• Ability to collaborate across technical teams
• Familiarity with security assessment tools
• Experience in automating security processes
