About this role

Volta is seeking a Network Modeling / Automation Engineer to build and maintain the software infrastructure supporting their massive GPU compute environments. This role involves creating a machine-readable data model of their network, automating configuration generation, and implementing a simulation environment to validate changes before deployment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network automation and a passion for building reliable, scalable systems.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain a data model representing the entire network infrastructure.
  • Automate the generation of device configurations from the network model.
  • Build and operate a network simulation environment for pre-deployment validation.
  • Create CI pipelines to ensure network changes are validated.
  • Implement drift detection to identify discrepancies between intended and actual network state.
  • Automate bring-up verification processes.
