Associate Quality Engineer
About this role
Voyager Technologies seeks an Associate Quality Engineer to support quality operations in an energetics manufacturing environment involving explosives and propellants. This entry-level role, working under supervision, applies engineering fundamentals to quality assurance tasks while learning regulatory compliance (ISO 9001/AS9100, ATF, DoD) and internal quality systems in a mission-critical defense context.
What you'll do
- Support development and maintenance of quality systems aligned with ISO 9001/AS9100 and regulatory requirements under senior guidance
- Assist in defining and monitoring process controls, inspection plans, and acceptance criteria for manufacturing operations
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for nonconformances and customer complaints
- Support internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory compliance assessments
- Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with supplier quality activities, failure investigations, and material review boards (MRB)
